the good news

The  good news  is a person… His name is Jesus... He is the Son of God…. He has the power to make any one of us another son of God…  many sons in one son…  He fills us with His very own life… He reveals to each one of us  individually and personally  what life on this earth is all about… He gives our lives true  meaning and purpose… He has a plan…. He gives us personal direction as to  our place  in that plan… He is the meaning of life

The  many sons  in His Son, is Father’s way of  filling this whole earth  with His Glory…  filling this whole earth  with His Son.  It is all about Jesus.  It has been that way since the beginning…. spelled out very clearly  in the 1st chapter of John…. He is the living  Word…

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.

It is all about Jesus…. His life in us…  His life in me… it is not all about Philip and how wonderful I am and His wonderful plan for my life… not about me at all… or how He can use me…  or the great things I can accomplish now that I am saved…. that kind of response is all an appeal to my old nature… my natural man that wants to be somebody… do wondrous things… get recognition… and all the rest of that baloney.  That is from another spirit.

That is the stuff that has to be  put to death.  And… as that death process continues to happen, day after day and year after year, a little more of  His resurrection life  comes forth…. out of that death process. Then He can send any of those others  “that He Himself wanted”  across my path during the  simple ordinary life  I live… where He has placed me … and touch them with His life…. whenever He wants to do that.

He is the good news.
