the garment…

everything changes…. no more voices saying:  “if you really loved Jesus then you would  stop  doing this…. and  start  doing that…  put this  off... and put this  on“… no more… ever again…

He bestows on me the crown of His beauty…  He pours  His oil of joy  all over me…. He puts His garment of praise on me… and that foul  spirit of despair  just leaves… never to return.  It is not something that Philip  has to do… it is something that Jesus  does in Philip …. and suddenly Philip finds that  everything has changed... he wears that  garment of praise  all day long…  he is just  thanking and praising God  for each thing… all day long.

Worship is my  lifestyle… not something Philip does… not singing and dancing, shouting and jumping around… like he did years ago at  “meetings”… it is a  garment  that the Lord put on Philip… When I give myself to Him…  He clothes me with Himself.   I think this is a scripture that has been too often missed.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship.”

Think on these things….

  1. a voice that says “IF you loved Jesus then you would……” can shut up. But Jesus Himself can say SINCE you love me, this is what MY changing of you will look like ……

  2. Thanks ! That sounds too good to be true–but it IS true ! “And we all… are being transformed into his image ” from 2 Cor 3:18.
